I recently added a K&N air filter to the mix and swapped out the regular paper one and wanted to raise the awareness of this product. I computed my gas mileage after the first full tank and it’s currently running 2.5 MPG better than before. I don’t feel much of a performance difference when I press down on the gas pedal, but with gas prices rising, I went for the filter. I’ve been working at AutoAnything for over 7 years now, so it was about time to suck it up and go for a filter when I recently had to invest in a new filter anyways. So think about getting one of these next time you’re being talked into getting an air filter at Jiffy Lube. They’ll try to charge you an arm and a leg for it and will even try to charge you to install it when all you have to do is pop the hood, un-clip the air filter box and drop it in!
